Kalam award goes to Eminent Mathematician Dr N R Santhi Maheshwari D/O Ravilla N Rengasamy

Bengaluru: Dr N R Santhi Maheshwari, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, G V N College, Kovilpatti, was on Saturday,24 th Feb 2018, honoured with the A P J Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement award for Teaching, Research and Publications. She is an eminent mathematician, teacher and acclaimed researcher. She has to her credit 60 research publications; 17 at National Level and 43 International Publications. Her subject of specialization is Graph Theory.

She was Member in PG Board of Study in Mathematics, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli from May 2012 to Dec 2015. She was also Member in PG Board of Study in Mathematics, Sadakathullah Appa College, Palayam Kottai from Feb 2014 to Feb 2016. She is also senate member in M S University from Mar 2016 onwards.

She received earlier Arignar Sankaravallinayagam Virudhu on 30.1.2016.

The award was presented by Smt Bharathi Shetty, Former MLC, President, BJP Womens’ Wing, Karnataka,  Shri Nagendra Magadi, Noted Film Director. Dr.H.V.Shivappa, IES, Economic Advisor, Niti Aayog, Government of India presided the occasion held at A D A Ranga Mandira, Bengaluru.

   

As a teacher, Santhi Maheshwari had taught under- graduates, postgraduates and research students in mathematics. Her services as a teacher were recognized with the A P J Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award for Teaching, Research and Publications presented by International Institute For Social And Economic Reforms ®, an institute involved in Rejuvenating Socio- Economic Activities at Gross Root Level.
